The Band Skills Pack is here for the teachers who want in.

There is a moment every music teacher aims for. The drummers find the groove, the bass locks in, the ukes stop fighting the beat and start riding it, and a room full of teenagers realise they are a band. It is loud, it is messy on the way there, and it is the reason most of us do this job.

Introducing the Band Skills Pack

For years, teachers in our community have told us the same thing. The classroom workshopping approach works. Whole class jamming works. The Playalongs work. What they wanted was a focused way into our comprehensive resources platform: just the band skills resources, arranged as a clear progressive pathway, enough to get them jamming and go from there.

So that is what we have made. The Band Skills Pack pulls together the resources our teachers reach for most when they are getting classes playing:

• A huge library of playalongs, so every student performs with a full band behind them from the very first lesson
• Instrument skills videos students can follow at their own pace
• The classroom workshopping approach that turns a room of mixed abilities into an ensemble
• Sequences that take a class from first chords to full performances
• Groove Your Classroom — making the best use of your classroom percussion

None of it is purely theoretical. Every resource in the pack has been shaped by teachers using it with actual classes, including the ones with 28 students, 6 working ukuleles and a Friday afternoon timeslot.

Built on what teachers already do brilliantly

If you have been to one of our workshops, you have seen the approach in action, and you have probably run it yourself since. Teachers like you are the reason this pack exists. Your feedback told us which playalongs get a class moving, which skills videos teachers actually reuse, and where the gaps were. If you have not worked with us before, the Band Skills Pack is the most direct route into the way Musical Futures classrooms run: less talking about music, more playing it.

What it costs

The Band Skills Pack is $299 AUD + GST a year, and that covers five teachers, so a whole faculty runs off one subscription. It is built to be the middle path: a focused way into the band and ensemble side of our library, without committing to Full Access before you are ready.

It launched alongside a second pathway, the Music Tech Pack, for teachers who want production and creative tech instead. If you want both, Full Access is $499 and covers the two packs in full, which is $99 less than subscribing to them separately.
