Musical Futures International – Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Musical Futures International (“MFI”, “we”, “our”) is committed to delivering high-quality educational resources in a safe and positive online environment. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for accessing and using MFI’s subscription-based resources and digital services (“MFI Resources”).
By subscribing to or accessing MFI Resources, you agree to comply with this AUP, which exists to protect users, safeguard our platform, and uphold the principles of Safety by Design.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to all users (“you”) who:
- hold an active subscription to MFI Resources, or
- access any MFI digital services or content via our website or learning platforms.
It covers your use of:
- online courses
- videos
- downloadable materials
- interactive tools
2. Safety and Respect
MFI’s services are designed with the Safety by Design principles, aiming to:
- Prioritise safety and user rights from the outset
- Embed safeguards to prevent misuse
- Promote user empowerment through clear information and choices
Therefore:
Treat all users and MFI staff with respect.
Do not harass, threaten, or bully other users.
Do not share content that is hateful, discriminatory, or violent.
Protect your personal information and respect others’ privacy.
3. Lawful and Responsible Use
You must:
Use MFI Resources only for lawful purposes related to education or classroom teaching.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. copyright laws, child safety laws).
Do not:
- Upload, share, or link to any material that is illegal or promotes illegal activities.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse MFI systems or networks.
- Use MFI Resources to commit fraud or deceive others.
4. Intellectual Property
MFI Resources are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may:
Use materials for personal teaching or classroom use in accordance with your subscription level.
You must not:
- Share MFI materials publicly outside your school/organisation without permission.
- Sell, redistribute, or publish MFI materials in any form.
- Modify materials and pass them off as your own work.
If you wish to use resources beyond your subscription entitlements, contact MFI.
5. Account Security
Keep your login credentials confidential.
Do not:
- Share your account with anyone else.
- Impersonate other users or MFI staff.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
6. Reporting Concerns
We encourage a culture of transparency and safety. If you see or experience:
- Abuse or bullying
- Illegal content
- Technical vulnerabilities
- Breaches of this AUP
Please report it to MFI immediately.
9. Breach of Policy
Breaching this AUP may result in:
- Suspension or termination of your subscription
- Legal action where applicable
MFI reserves the right to investigate suspected breaches and cooperate with law enforcement.
10. Changes to This Policy
MFI may update this AUP from time to time. We will notify subscribers of significant changes. Continued use of MFI Resources constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
