Here's what teachers say

Meet like minded teachers and make music together!

A fantastic music CPD event, led by the MFI Team, on informal music-making in the classroom. I already use the MFI platform and resources in my lessons, but this really helped to develop and reinforce my teaching practice, taking away many new skills and ideas. Had some fun on new electronic music equipment I hadn't used before. A great way to meet like minded teachers and make music together!

Engaging & student centred

The Big Gig is a valuable experience for anyone passionate about revolutionising the way they teach music and fostering a deeper connection between students and the music they both play and create. It is a practical hands on experience with fellow educators which invigorates and refreshes you with new ideas and reignites your passion for teaching music!

I've found my people

The Big Gig is a fantastic resource for music educators, offering brilliant hands-on experiences teachers can take straight back to the classroom. A key element is getting to play, create, and arrange music together as teachers – it's a great way to reconnect with our students' experience. By keeping this student perspective at the forefront, the Big Gig really supports professional growth in student-centered planning and practice.
