    How to use this tool

Four steps to a mapped teaching sequence

The tool maps our resources against your curriculum, so the documentation is written before you start. 566 resources, 14 curricula.

    1

Pick your curriculum, then find a resource

Choose your curriculum at the top. Then search by name. Type "Zombie", or "reggae", or "Soundtrap", and it looks through all 566 at once. The resource type filter is optional, for when you'd rather browse one category.

    Every resource gives you back:

    • The curriculum topics or content it covers
    • The outcomes it meets, at both stages or levels
    • The musical objectives students are working on

Only need the one resource? Copy this resource puts it on your clipboard, ready for a Word or Google Doc.

    2

    Add it to your sequence

Select Add to sequence. The resource drops into Your teaching sequence lower down the page, with its full mapping attached.

Give the plan a title while you're there. Something like "Year 8 Term 3, Songwriting" makes the export easier to file.

    3

    Build it out

Search for the next resource and add that too. Suggested next activities will point you at sensible follow-ons where we have them.

Reorder with the arrow buttons on each card, or drag the card itself. The × removes one.

Your sequence saves in this browser as you go, so closing the tab won't lose it.

    4

    Take it away

Copy full plan puts the whole sequence on your clipboard, laid out for a Word or Google Doc.

Print / save as PDF gives you the same thing as a clean printable page, with the search and buttons stripped out.

Changed your mind about the curriculum? Switch it at the top and the whole sequence re-maps against the new one. Same resources, new outcomes. Useful if you teach across two syllabuses, or if you're checking how a unit reads for a different year level.

Why we built it this way

We don't write the unit plan for you

That's deliberate. Every school context is different, and teachers keep telling us that off-the-shelf schemes of work don't survive contact with a real classroom.

You know your students and your setting. What you don't have is time to write the same mapping documentation twice.

So the tool does the paperwork. The sequence stays yours.
