Five Music Tech workshops. Watch them any time.
Earlier this term we ran five online workshops for music teachers. Every one was recorded, and you can now watch the lot for free. Each workshop takes one unit from start to finish. You see how it runs in a real classroom, the tools students use, and where to start with one class this term.
Movie Music
Students score real film clips in the MFI Movie DAW, using the Emotion In Sound framework to decide what the audience should feel.
Game Music
A film knows what happens next. A game doesn’t. Students write music that keeps up with the player, from exploration to the boss fight, in the MFI Game DAW.
Learn the DAW
Skip the “tour of the interface” lesson. Students make music from day one, and the video library opens up when they get stuck. Works on BandLab, Soundtrap, GarageBand, Ableton Live and more.
Remix
Keep the song’s DNA and change everything else. Students make real producer decisions on a track they already love, in any DAW you have.
Recreate
Students rebuild a song they love, step by step, then make it their own. Includes nine levels of ear training, with the answers in the back.
